Stark
State College students receive merit scholarships
from national health information management association
Three Stark State College
students have received $1000 each in merit scholarships from The
American Health Information Management Association’s Foundation of
Research and Education (FORE), headquartered in Chicago.
Sophomores Denise Blogna,
Canton; Bruna Weber, Wadsworth and Denise Sturgeon, Canal Fulton, all
pursuing associate degrees in health information management, received
three of 90 FORE scholarships awarded nationally this fall.
The students competed in
a highly competitive selection process among 165 qualified student
applicants. Scholarship recipients were selected based upon their
academic achievements and commitment to the health information
management field.
