State College nursing student receives award
from Coca-Cola Two-Year Colleges Scholarship Program
Stark State College
sophomore Jill McDonald has received a $1000 scholarship from the
Coca-Cola Two-Year Colleges Scholarship Program. The Massillon resident
is a student in the associate degree nursing program at Stark State.
McDonald is one of 400
recipients recognized nationwide. Recipients of the scholarship are
nominated by their colleges, must be active in community service and
maintain a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average. The scholarship,
created in 2000, is made possible with funding from the Joseph B.
Whitehead Foundation. Whitehead was one of the original bottlers of
Coca-Cola.
